Privacy notice

Information collected
We collect account identifiers, billing and subscription status, business questions, optional context, uploaded files and metadata, report records, support communications, and security or processing events needed to operate the service.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate customers, prepare and deliver requested reports, provide support, process billing, prevent abuse, secure and troubleshoot the service, and comply with law. Submission authorizes analysis for the requested service only; it does not authorize publication or action in outside accounts.
Website analytics and cookies
Google Analytics loads only after a visitor chooses “Allow analytics.” It may collect page views, approximate device and location information, referral sources, and website interactions to help us understand and improve the public website. It does not receive private report questions, uploaded evidence, or report contents. The choice is stored on the visitor's device and can be changed at any time using the “Privacy choices” control.
Service providers and disclosure
We use service providers for website hosting, consent-based traffic analytics, email-code customer authentication, analytical processing, private storage, payment processing, malware scanning and isolated extraction when file intake is active, and delivery email when configured. They receive information only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect customers or the service, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell customer business evidence.
Storage and security
Files are stored in private, customer- and request-scoped object storage; structured records are maintained separately. Access to customer workspaces is checked against the authenticated account. When file intake is active, clean originals are converted into bounded source-located artifacts by the configured extraction provider; automated analysis receives the derived artifact rather than the raw Office file. Current safeguards and limitations are described in the Trust Center.
Retention and deletion
Customers select an evidence-retention window during intake and may permanently delete a request and its stored evidence from the workspace. Provider-side working files are configured for short expiration and deleted after processing where the provider API permits. Provider security or abuse-monitoring records, billing records, backups, and records required by law may follow separate limited retention periods.
Artificial intelligence
Sclerite uses artificial intelligence and software-assisted validation to prepare reports when the analysis service is connected. Automated reports must pass the service's structured quality checks; failures stop for founder review. We do not claim human professional review unless it occurred, and customers should review outputs before consequential action.
Delivery email
When email delivery is active, messages contain only a report identifier and a private workspace link—not the report or confidential business evidence.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of applicable personal information by contacting support@getsclerite.com. Rights vary by jurisdiction, and identity verification may be required.
Changes
We may update this notice as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
